Despite penetrating the top 10 position on the overall championship standing chart, the Indonesian duo, Team Smart Samarinda D’Jagung’s #162 Farhan Hendro and #7 Pedro Wuner, will receive more tension competing on home ground.
During the season opener in Thailand, newcomer Farhan shocked the crowd with an overpowering performance in spite of multiple mechanical complications during the Free Practice sessions. While Pedro remained as a stable rider, slowly riding his way up to the chart.
“The Indonesia round will be advantageous for us as our physique and bikes are well adapted to all exterior conditions. Since the completion of Round 1, Pedro and I have pursued a rigorous training regime to ensure that we are ready to steal the second round title and make the country proud,” said Farhan.
“We had discussions to deliberate and strategise for the upcoming race based on their strength and weakness, as well as their motorcycle’s capability and skills. By understanding every minute situation in detail, I believe that we have a chance of winning the trophy,” said Pedro.
Team KTM Racing Malaysia’s Muhd Habibullah faced a downfall in Thailand with a wrong pair of tires and dysfunctional brakes, leading to multiple mistakes that have taken a hard hit on his chance for an optimistic standing.
“The team and I had a serious discussion and realignment of the issues faced during the Thailand round. I will return stronger to improve my standing for the subsequent rounds, and once again top the chart,” said Habibullah.
With the growing intensity between front-running riders, table leader Team Kenny Motorworks Tekmo Racing’s Lewis Cornish of United Kingdom expressed his excitement for the Indonesia round. “Upon winning the opening round, this developed my confidence on track to continue my winning streak.
